ASR Rebranding to Amtivo – FAQs

Following the acquisition of American Systems Registrar (ASR) by Amtivo Group in December 2023, ASR will soon rebrand to Amtivo. To help address any questions you might have, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers below. If you have any further questions, please contact your Account Manager in the usual way.

 

What are the additional certification services available?

Bringing our two US brands together, American Systems Registrar (ASR) and Orion Registrar Inc., allows access to a broader range of certifications. Please see all certification services we will offer, below:  

  • ISO 9001 Certification – Quality Management Certification  
  • ISO 13485 Certification – Medical Devices Certification

What are the advantages of having access to a range of global resources and technology?

When will I receive my Amtivo certificate?

You will receive your new Amtivo branded eCertificate when you undergo recertification. Until this time, your current ASR certificate will remain valid. However, if you wish to have an Amtivo branded certificate before recertification, please contact your Account Manager.

Will the dates of my certificate change as part of this rebrand?

The start date and expiry date will not change.

How can I get a new Amtivo branded digital certification badge to display our certification(s) on our website?

Clients will be able to download these from our new website, amtivo.us, when it launches. Links will also be provided to clients via communications. 

What happens if I miss the two-year deadline of updating all digital and printed materials?

You must update your certification logo badges to the new Amtivo branded badges across all your digital and printed materials, such as your website, business card, stationery etc.  

It will be checked by your assigned auditor and a minor non-conformance raised if not compliant.  

How can a client verify our businesses ISO certification?

Our new website will have an option to “Verify an ISO Certificate” in the Resources menu option.  

Will my auditor stay the same?

We will try to assign you the same auditor with whom you have previously worked. However, this will depend on certification rules and the availability of auditors.

Will the rebranding to Amtivo affect our current audit schedule in 2024, as our surveillance audits at our site(s) are scheduled for this coming fall?

Please be assured that there will be no changes to your scheduled audit. 

Will you be able to continue IATF audits?

Yes, there will be no changes. 

Will bank details change?

We will advise you of any changes to bank account details directly, in due course.  

Will any other company information change, e.g., company number, registered address, etc.?

Although bank details may change, which we will advise you of in advance, no other company information will change apart from the company name, which will change from ASR Inc. to Amtivo (USA) Inc.

Will I be provided with a new W-9?

Yes, due to the change in company name we will provide you with a new W-9. A link will be provided within these FAQs here, on October 31st. 

Will International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restriction affect the sharing of data overseas?

ITAR restrictions apply to auditors on site. Auditors are not allowed to include sensitive information in reports and documents submitted to Amtivo, and access to some information may be restricted. Activities such as tech reviews should be done by US personnel for ITAR clients. 

Does this merger and rebrand mean that ASR is now accredited by ANAB and UKAS, since Amtivo is UKAS-accredited?

Yes, Amtivo now holds accreditations from a wide range of accreditation bodies, including UKAS, ANAB, INAB and Accredia as well as industry-specific accreditations. This underlines the value we place in offering certifications from trusted accreditation bodies.
