Job Purpose:
To provide support to maintain application availability, security, usability of functionality and output integrity of the Amtivo Connect ERP solution.
Accountabilities:
Planning
- Work closely with the internal support team and progress Amtivo Connect related support tickets through to resolution
- Liaise with the Group Product Director to implement minor bug fixes and enhancements to the Amtivo Connect product
- Undertake training courses to learn required programming languages and its associated best practices
- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, share your knowledge with the team.
Delivering
- Support internal Amtivo Connect users through tickets that they have logged in the Zendesk support system
- Develop software using object orientated programming, primarily in Perl, but also some VBScript and SQL development
- Use Perl and associated web frameworks (Dancer, Mojolicious) to develop Amtivo’s web applications and APIs
- Use HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills to develop, deploy and test improvements to Amtivo’s web applications
- Undertake testing and create automated test plans.
Reporting
- Monitor project tasks and report on progress to the Group Product Director on a monthly basis.
Resourcing
- Work across multiple projects and support tickets simultaneously and manage workload within allocated timeframe.
Success criteria:
- Excellent internal feedback on support and the implementation of new features to meet the needs of customers
- Minimal downtime and customer support requests as a result of software bugs.
Context:
The Application Supervisor is accountable through the business cycle for:
- Day-to-day support of the Amtivo Connect ERP solution
- Development of minor application enhancements and bug fixes in Amtivo Connect
- Ensuring that application upgrades are successfully deployed to production
- Briefing management on any software issues
- Rapidly resolving application availability, security, usability of functionality and output integrity issues first time.
