Accountabilities:
Planning
Manage and maintain an effective approval process that complies with ISO 17021-1, ISO 17065 and relevant certification scheme requirements and:
- Support the upskilling of new employed audit team members at a pace that enables them to achieve target levels of billability within agreed target timescales from the point of employment;
- Provides a turnaround of subcontractor and agency auditor competency assessment approval requests within SLAs;
- Enables transfer of auditor competencies from acquired certification businesses.
Resourcing
Monitor and identify resource gaps within the auditor development team, that could lead to failures to maintain SLAs, rectify in the required timescale identified compliance issues, transfer of auditor competencies from acquired certification businesses or provide appropriate support for Accreditation Body or Scheme Owner assessments.
Maintain required competencies of auditor development team members.
Delivering
Address any compliance management system risks and/exploit opportunities to improve Auditor Competency Management Processes arising from:
- Changes in Accreditation Body or Scheme Owner requirements;
- Changes to Amtivo product/service offerings
- Changes in technology.
- Changes to Amtivo processes
Reporting
Provide appropriate reports and performance statistics on Auditor Development programmes as directed by the Key Stakeholders within Amtivo
Communication
Manage and maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure the smooth delivery of Auditor competency approvals including
- Actively seeking to resolve any concerns while adhering to the Compliance Management System;
- Ensure that all communications concerning changes with regards to “Milestones or challenges” are briefed to the appropriate departments in a timely manner to mitigate any affects this may have on service delivery.
Context:
The ADM is primarily accountable for:
- Ensuring the competencies of the Audit Team are enhanced to fulfil the service delivery of clients and is fully documented and robust to meet the requirements of ISO 17021 & ISO 17065 with the UKAS and INAB Hubs.

Required skills and experience:
- Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working
- Has well developed interpersonal skills to work with and manage others outside of reporting linesBe organised in the approach to ensure delivery of the annual programme is kept on track
- Has a background in operational compliance with good working knowledge of requirements as noted by our regulators
- Has a recognised qualification (External or Internal) in auditing with experience of completing internal audits and managing corrective actions
- Has a strong analytical, data management and reporting skills to report on the current status of compliance and assurance across Amtivo.
