October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, marked by campaigns around the world, so there’s no better moment to ask yourself: how secure is your organisation?
The costs of poor cyber security can be dangerous. 29% of large Irish organisations paid a cyber ransom in 2024 – averaging €683,000 per payment, according to the Expleo Business Transformation Index. As well as financial risks, there is the reality that your customers, insurers and procurement teams are no longer asking whether you take cyber security seriously – but whether you can prove it.
Increasingly, evidence is what’s being asked for. For example:
As a result of such evolving requirements, businesses might not lose work on capability but instead lose it on eligibility.

If you’re considering certification for the first time, the hardest part is often knowing where to begin. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus all prove valuable to your stakeholders. This session aims to equip you with a better idea on where to start with cyber certifications and assurance, as well as why they matter. After all, “secure enough” has a habit of being disproved at the worst possible moment.
If you’re already certified (to ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or an adjacent standard), treat this webinar as a practical check-in. Threats don’t pause between audits; governance that was solid at certification can drift as the business and the threat landscape move on. You’ll leave knowing what good cyber security looks like, where gaps tend to open up, and how organisations that keep their governance current and independently verified can increase their chances of passing procurement checks faster and winning work on the strength of it.
