They are often at the bottom of the workplace pecking order, with little influence, power or knowledge of workplace culture and rights. That can be a dangerous combination at the start of a working life.<\/p>\r\n<p>At Amtivo, our online health and safety tra<span>ining courses are designed to help those entering work prevent themselves and others from being hurt. We offer online eLearning courses designed to help apprentices, sixth form and BTECH students grow their understanding of Hazards and Risk Assessment and improve their career opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2>What Are the Benefits for Students?<\/h2>\r\n<p>Schools, colleges and businesses are beginning to see the importance of training young people and the IOSH Working Safely course gives students a good start to their working life.<\/p>\r\n<p>Not only will training help individuals keep themselves and others safe in the workplace but also offer the following benefits:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"margin-top: 0;\">\r\n\t<li>Key life skills in hazard and risk identification<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Nationally recognised certificated training<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Enhanced skills for CVs and potential improved employability<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Training may be suitable for students studying courses such as BTEC in Construction, BTECH in Design and Technology, and BTECH Diploma in Production Arts \/Technical Theatre.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"SubHeading-OxfordBlue\">Courses Available<\/h2>\r\n<h3>Working Safely: eLearning<\/h3>\r\n<p><strong>IOSH-approved course<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The Working Safely course is a web-based eLearning course \u2013 you will be able to access the course over the internet from any modern browser.<\/p>\r\n<p>You can complete the course at any time suitable to you. You have six months available to complete the course \u2013 we estimate that you will spend around eight hours on the course, however, this will vary significantly from person to person.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Objectives of the IOSH Working Safely course<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>By the end of the training students will be able to:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"margin-top: 0;\">\r\n\t<li>Identify common hazards in the workplace.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Be aware that some types of injury or ill-health can occur after prolonged exposure.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Identify factors that constitute a satisfactory working environment.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Appreciate how individual actions may endanger colleagues or those passing through the workplace.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong><br \/>\r\nIOSH Certification<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>For students who successfully complete the final assessments, there is a choice of accreditation, either:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"margin-top: 0;\">\r\n\t<li>An IOSH Working Safely certificate<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Or an IOSH passport card programme<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Working Safely\u00a0meets the government\u2019s guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive\u2019s \u2018passport\u2019 syllabus.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Enrolling for the IOSH Working Safely course<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>You can access the IOSH-approved Working Safely Course <a href=\"\/uk\/training\/iosh\/working-safely-course\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Users have six months to work through and complete the coursework.
