If you’re using your certification to promote your business\u2014on your website, in emails, within brochures or on packaging\u2014it\u2019s important to follow a few key rules.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

These rules help to make sure you’re promoting your certification(s) in the correct way and avoid any misunderstandings.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

You are certified, not accredited<\/h3>\r\n

Your organization is certified to a standard by an accredited certification body. Only certification bodies like Amtivo are accredited.<\/p>\r\n

We strongly recommend linking to amtivo.com\/us<\/strong><\/a>. This helps your clients learn more about certification and the benefits it brings to your business and theirs.<\/p>\r\n

\u274c What You Shouldn\u2019t Say or Do<\/h2>\r\n

Do not say you\u2019re approved or endorsed by Amtivo or ANAB<\/h3>\r\n

Your certification does not mean you are approved or endorsed by Amtivo or the ANAB accreditation body.<\/p>\r\n

Do not use certification to endorse products<\/h3>\r\n

Certification is about your management systems, not your products. Avoid using certification marks or wording on packaging in a way that could suggest the product itself is endorsed or certified.<\/p>\r\n

Do not be misleading about the scope of your certification<\/h3>\r\n

Make sure it\u2019s clear what parts of your business are certified. Do not suggest that services, locations or standards outside the certified scope are included.<\/p>\r\n
