{"id":10930,"date":"2025-11-11T07:47:39","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T07:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amtivo.com\/us\/?post_type=resources-filter&#038;p=10930"},"modified":"2026-03-27T09:22:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T09:22:02","slug":"aerospace-standard-revision","status":"publish","type":"resources-filter","link":"https:\/\/amtivo.com\/us\/resources\/technical\/aerospace-standard-revision\/","title":{"rendered":"Aerospace Standard Revision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #1f299c; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 800; text-decoration: underline; letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 28px;\">November 11, 2025<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Following discussions during the\u00a0<b>IAQG October 2025 meeting<\/b>, new information has been shared regarding the projected transition timeline for the upcoming aerospace standard revisions.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span>Transition Timeline (Projected \u2013 subject to change)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n\t<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The release of all revised standards is anticipated for<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>late 2026 or early 2027<\/b>, marking the start of a single transition period.<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>All stakeholders<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2014 including Accreditation Bodies, Certification Bodies, Training Providers, and Certified Clients \u2014 will have<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>eight months<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>to implement any system changes needed for audits to the revised standards.<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>All Certification Bodies<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>will follow the same transition date.<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Auditors<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>must complete either delta training or full training before conducting audits to the new standards.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span>Please note that these details are\u00a0<b>not yet final<\/b>\u00a0and remain subject to change pending confirmation from the IAQG.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 20px 0;\"><span style=\"color: #1f299c; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 800; text-decoration: underline; letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 28px;\">September 18, 2025<\/span><br \/>\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2>Upcoming Updates to Aerospace Standards<\/h2>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 95, 154)\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) has confirmed that a\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">limited change revision<\/b>\u00a0of the aerospace quality standard will be released in the coming months. This revision, to be published as\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">IA9100<\/b>, will continue to be based on\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">ISO 9001:2015<\/b>, with only limited updates and clarifications to strengthen alignment and usability.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 95, 154)\">IA9100 will be issued alongside revisions to\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">AS9101<\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">AS9104 series<\/b>\u00a0of standards. Once released, the industry will be given an\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">implementation period of approximately 12 months<\/b>\u00a0to transition to the updated requirements.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 95, 154)\">In addition, the\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">OASIS database<\/b>\u2014the global platform supporting aerospace certification\u2014continues to evolve. The software developer, Intact, is now focused on enhancing the\u00a0<b data-ogsc=\"\">user experience<\/b>, following the recent stabilization of its core functionality. New features are expected to roll out progressively, helping certification bodies, auditors, and organizations use the system more efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 95, 154)\">We will continue to monitor these developments and share updates as soon as further details are confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2 data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n<p data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\"><span style=\"color: #1f299c; font-size: 28px; font-weight: 800; text-decoration: underline; letter-spacing: 1px;\">June 23, 2025<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">Interim Revision to 9100 in Progress<\/h2>\r\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(36, 36, 36)\">The International 9100 team recently met in Barcelona during\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/iaqg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IAQG<\/a><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(36, 36, 36)\">\u00a0Meeting Week and agreed on plans to update the aerospace quality management standard. This interim update kicks off a bigger effort to modernise and simplify the whole 9100 series, reflecting a shared global push to keep the standard practical and relevant.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3 data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n<h3 class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">What\u2019s Happening?<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(36, 36, 36)\">An\u00a0<i data-ogsc=\"\">interim revision<\/i>\u00a0of the 9100 standard will soon be put to ballot. This focused update includes some targeted improvements based on valuable industry feedback and input from different sectors.
