A strong track record, capable team and competitive offer may not be enough if a tender asks for certification or other evidence your organisation cannot provide. You could be screened out of a tender before the conversation even starts.

Not every tender requires certification, but where it does, discovering that yours is missing, expired or outside the required scope may leave too little time to address the gap.

In this webinar, our expert panel explores where certification requirements are appearing across UK procurement and supply chains, what they can mean for your ability to compete, and why readiness matters before the next opportunity opens.

What We Cover

Certification requirements can differ significantly depending on the sector, framework and individual opportunity.

Our panel will explore:

  • How certification can form part of tender and framework requirements.
  • Where standards are appearing across government, NHS, digital, and wider supply chains.
  • Why the scope, legal entity, and status of your certification matter.
  • How requirements can flow from major customers into their suppliers.
  • Where ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/IEC 27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus may be relevant.
  • What organisations can check now to understand their procurement readiness.

Certification Requirements in Practice

There are already clear examples across UK procurement:

NHS Supply Chain requires valid ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 certification for relevant suppliers participating in its framework agreements, subject to its specified requirements.

Cyber Essentials is also increasingly relevant across government and supply chains. In April 2026, the UK government called on organisations to certify to or align with Cyber Essentials and encouraged its requirements to be embedded across supplier bases.

In digital procurement, frameworks such as G-Cloud 15 demonstrate the importance of being able to evidence the required quality, technical capability and supplier credentials before an organisation can compete.

Requirements differ from opportunity to opportunity, so the key question is:

What evidence do the tenders and contracts you want to compete for actually require?

The Benefits of Watching

For organisations considering certification, this webinar will explore the commercial role certification can play alongside compliance. Where recognised certification forms part of a buyer, tender or supply-chain requirements, it can provide independent evidence of how your organisation manages relevant processes and help demonstrate that specified requirements have been met.

For organisations already certified, the webinar will help you consider how the certifications you already hold may support customer and procurement requirements, and where other standards could become relevant as your organisation targets new sectors, frameworks or supply chains.
