Role: Environmental Inspector (entry level)

If so, we are currently looking for Environmental Inspectors to join our existing team where you will assist with the provision of compliance inspections throughout Ireland and have an immediate start with flexible working arrangements. These are field-based operational roles working remotely with accountability for the delivery of key aspects of the service.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Inspector, the Environmental Inspector will be instrumental in the successful delivery and execution of all aspects of the Trade Effluent Licensing Inspection Services (TELIS) service to:
- Accurately record the outcome of inspections, complaint investigations, and update data management systems.
- Plan and carry out compliance inspections in line with legislation and regulations governing Trade Effluent Discharge Licences inspections of food service establishments (FSE) for their management of fats, oils and greases (FOG).
- Preparation of technical reports on non-compliances and suspected breaches of the legislation with an emphasis on timelines, quality and accuracy.
- Sampling Trade Effluent and completing relevant documentation.
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with the client and their stakeholders.
- Supporting your line manager to develop and maintain project/work plans, including executing operational goals to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
- Other duties include assignment to other sections within the company as may be required from time to time.
Required skills and experience
Full training will be provided. However, if you worked in compliance or have experience in the food service sector, catering sector or hospitality, that would be an advantage. We would like you to be able to demonstrate that you have:
- The ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment
- Fluent in written and oral English with strong communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Full clean driver’s licence (min category B)
- Access to your own vehicle
