We are seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our Environmental Inspection Services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our client base, leading high-quality bid submissions, and supporting successful project delivery.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Inspection Services, the Environmental Business Development Manager will lead business development initiatives, bid and proposal submissions, and contract management within the environmental services sector. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the environment, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with strategic growth plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Lead the end-to-end bid writing process — from initial qualification to final submission
- Craft compelling proposals and responses that clearly articulate our value and expertise
- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal and operational standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project mobilisation and delivery
- Support the Principal Environmental Consultant in client communication and project coordination
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, bid writing, or contract management, ideally in an environmental or consultancy setting
- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships and manage multiple bids or projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing professional proposals and presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Full, clean driving licence
- A degree in a relevant environmental or engineering discipline (NFQ level 8) is desirable
