Job Purpose

To provide service delivery leadership for the automotive scheme including responsibilities for specific compliance and scheme management processes.

Working closely with the Automotive Program Manager and key Amtivo stakeholders to ensure the operational effectiveness and continued compliance of automotive certification activities.

 

Accountabilities

Planning

  • Plan moderations for automotive auditors ensuring business and individual team member objectives are met.
  • Plan periodic performance reviews of the employed (and if appropriate, subcontract) Field Team to ensure business and individual goals and objectives are met.
  • Plan and, if appropriate, deliver, auditor training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Manage CPD requirements for auditors and ensure required CPD is met for each auditor.
  • Support the Automotive Program Manager on business improvement initiatives for the automotive scheme, including changes to Amtivo Connect and other company systems.

Delivery

  • The AM is responsible for the maintenance of their own IATF auditor credentials to ensure business needs and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Perform IATF audits as required in line with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver auditor moderations as required (for employees and subcontractors) in line with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide day to day technical support to auditors, customers and other stakeholders maintaining communication and effective working relationships.

Scheme Management

  • Provide technical / scheme input for the recruitment, onboarding and competence development of new automotive auditors. Including providing support for auditors and customers on corrective actions (CARA).
  • Provide ad hoc technical input to business functions and processes, as required. Including but not limited to; contract review, technical/file review, complaints and appeals.
  • Support the Automotive Program Manager with technical input to the red supplier program, as required.
  • Represent Amtivo in industry groups or events, as required.
  • Provide scheme updates for Amtivo IATF auditor base, as required.

Resourcing

  • Manage the auditor competence development process for new automotive auditors ensuring the needs of the business and clients are met.
  • Periodically review the performance of the automotive audit team and provide feedback, raising any concerns or issues to ensure we mitigate risks and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the process to evaluate current and future resourcing needs working with the SSD and other key stakeholders within the business.

Regulatory / Technical

  • Support the internal audit program, as required, including conducting internal audits in line with business needs and objectives.
  • Provide facilitation and support for external regulatory audits, as required.
  • Providing technical support for external body NCs raised including support of the delivery of responses and corrective actions to the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Provide support to address any regulatory or standard changes communicating to key internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate.

Reporting

  • Ensure the timely delivery of audit reports in line with business targets.
  • Produce moderated audit reports, feeding back on the outcome of the audit and making recommendations as appropriate to ensure opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Provide required delivery input for reports required by the automotive scheme.

 

Success Criteria

  • Delivering on time and compliant automotive audits.
  • Continued compliance of Amtivo’s automotive delivery activities. 
  • Managing and expanding automotive audit team (employed or subcontract) to meet business growth objectives. Including onboarding, retention and satisfaction of auditors. 
  • Continual improvement in the delivery of automotive audits including client experience, compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Approved IATF 16949 Lead Auditor with active registration.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of IATF 16949 rules.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of automotive technologies, manufacturing practices and quality management practices.
