The Role
We are seeking an experienced Managing Auditor (IATF) to provide leadership and oversight for our automotive certification scheme. Working closely with the Automotive Program Manager and key stakeholders, you will ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our automotive audit activities.
This is a high-impact role combining technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic input in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & development
- Lead planning of auditor moderations and performance reviews
- Deliver and manage auditor training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Support business improvement initiatives, including system enhancements
Audit delivery
- Maintain IATF auditor credentials in line with regulatory requirements
- Conduct IATF audits and auditor moderations (employees and subcontractors)
- Provide technical support to auditors, clients, and stakeholders
Scheme management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of automotive auditors
- Provide technical input across business processes (e.g. contract reviews, appeals, complaints)
- Represent Amtivo at industry events and contribute to scheme updates
Resourcing & team leadership
- Oversee auditor competence development and performance
- Identify resourcing needs to support business growth
- Drive engagement, retention, and development of the audit team
Regulatory & technical oversight
- Support internal and external audit programmes
- Assist with regulatory compliance, corrective actions, and standard updates
- Communicate changes effectively to internal and external stakeholders
Reporting
- Ensure timely delivery of audit reports
- Produce moderated reports with clear recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to automotive scheme reporting requirements

- Consistent delivery of compliant, high-quality automotive audits
- Strong regulatory adherence across all automotive activities
- Growth and development of a high-performing audit team
- Continuous improvement in client experience and audit delivery
About You
- Approved IATF 16949 Lead Auditor with active registration and ADP credentials working for a Certification company
- Strong knowledge of IATF rules, automotive technologies, and quality systems
- High integrity and commitment to audit excellence
- Motivated, professional, and results-driven
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Resilient, approachable, and confident in leading teams
