Salary: €35,000 – €45,000 DOE

Job Purpose
Amtivo Group is recruiting an Environmental Officer within the Inspections Service division. The role holder will lead the delivery of a range of diverse projects to our existing and future clients. This is an exciting career opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
To apply for this role, you must demonstrate experience or a willingness to learn auditing or inspections, together with a proven track record in the delivery of projects in the environmental and/ or compliance and regulatory sectors.
Success Criteria
This is an operational role with accountability for delivering accurate and timely outcomes.
Context
The Environmental Officer will be instrumental in the successful delivery of client services to:
- Actively participate in the delivery of a range of client projects
- Conduct compliance and inspection activities on behalf of public and private sector clients across a range of regulations and legislation related to waste, water, circular economy, energy use, and other
- Review and interpret technical literature such as legislation, guidance & policy documents
- Produce project outputs (e.g., technical progress reports, case file management) meeting all client and legislative requirements
- Support key clients with technical input and advice
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders
- Issue enforcement reports and letters on behalf of the client
- Client engagement throughout the lifecycle of projects, providing timely and relevant progress updates as appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures

Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of NFQ level 8 in a relevant environmental discipline
- Experience or knowledge in environmental and/or regulatory matters
- Experience in organising and carrying out inspections/audits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
- Ability to gather and analyse facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions
- Experience in managing client relationships, understanding their challenges and ambitions, and delivering on growth opportunities
- A full clean manual driver’s licence is required
