Location: Amtivo Ireland, Dublin Office.
Role Type: Permanent, Full time, Primarily hybrid, with the opportunity for remote working (subject to meeting business requirements).

Job Purpose

Amtivo Group is recruiting a Principal Consultant, reporting to the Technical Lead, within the Inspections Service division. The role holder will lead the delivery of a range of diverse projects to our existing and future clients. This is an exciting career opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering diverse projects across a range of sectors. 

To apply for this role, you must demonstrate a high-level technical expertise and a proven track record in the delivery and management of multiple projects and clients. Ideally we are also looking for team leadership & management experience, as you will be looking after a team of consultants. Because the majority of our clients are in the Environmental Sector the role requires a minimum of NFQ level 8 in a relevant environmental discipline.

 

Success Criteria

This is an operational role with accountability for delivering accurate and timely outcomes to our current and future clients.

 

Context

The Principal Consultant will be instrumental in the successful delivery of client services to:

  • Support the Technical Lead with client engagement and management throughout the lifecycle of projects, providing timely and relevant progress updates as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relations with current and future clients.
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of consultants on the delivery of multiple long-term and short-term contracts.
  • Support key clients with technical input, advice, and training on a wide range of areas.
  • Support the Director of Inspection Services and the Technical Lead in new business proposals and tender submissions, securing future growth.
  • Support the Technical Lead in the project mobilisation phase for new contracts and monitoring progress reports.
  • Attend on-site and remote client meetings as required.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of a range of client projects, as required.
  • Conduct compliance, audits, site assessments, projects, and inspection activities on behalf of clients across a range of regulations and legislation, including waste, water, circular economy, energy use, and other duties as required by the company.
  • Review and interpret technical literature such as legislation, guidance & policy documents, and research papers.
  • Produce and review project outputs (e.g., technical progress reports, specifications), meeting all client and legislative requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement to agree and follow up on corrective action.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of relevant environmental legislation.
  • Ad hoc duties as may be required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of NFQ level 8 in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience within the environmental and waste sector.
  • Proven track record in managing client relationships, understanding their challenges and ambitions, and delivering on growth opportunities.
  • Proven track record in managing a team of professionals, assisting them to excel in their respective roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
  • Ability to gather and analyse facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
  • A full clear driver’s licence is required.
