Amtivo Welcomes New Chief Executive Officer

Amtivo leadership announcement

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Plumb OBE as our new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 29th September 2025.

Caroline succeeds Mike Tims, who has led Amtivo since 2017. During his tenure, Mike oversaw a period of significant transformation, growing the business from 48 to more than 600 employees and establishing Amtivo as a leading global certification and assurance platform. Mike will step into the role of Chairman of the Amtivo Board, working closely with Caroline to ensure a smooth transition and continued strategic momentum.

Caroline brings a wealth of experience in scaling and transforming professional services organisations. Most recently, she served as CEO of Gravita, a private equity-backed accounting services group, where she delivered strong growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions.

She previously founded and led two successful venture-backed technology businesses and has held several prominent business advisory roles, including serving as a Prime Minister’s Business Ambassador. In recognition of her contribution to business and charity, she was awarded an OBE in 2016. Caroline is also an Honorary Fellow of St John’s College, Oxford, where she studied Engineering, Economics & Management, graduating with First-Class honours.

Commenting on the appointment, outgoing CEO and incoming Chairman Mike Tims said, “Caroline is an exceptional leader with a proven track record in driving growth and transformation. Her strategic insight and energy make her the ideal person to lead Amtivo into its next phase of development.”

Caroline Plumb added, “Amtivo is a business with huge potential, a strong international footprint, and a talented team committed to supporting SMEs globally. I’m thrilled to be joining at this exciting time and look forward to working with colleagues, customers, and partners to build on the company’s impressive growth journey.”

Charterhouse, which invested in Amtivo in 2022, also welcomed the appointment. Stephan Morgan, Partner at Charterhouse, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to Mike for his outstanding leadership in building Amtivo into a global certification and assurance leader. As he steps into the role of Chairman, we’re pleased to see the continuity and strategic clarity that will bring. At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Caroline. Her entrepreneurial energy and proven ability to scale professional services businesses make her an excellent choice to lead Amtivo into its next phase. We look forward to supporting her and the team as the company continues to grow and innovate.”
