What is ISO 45001:2018?

ISO 45001:2018 is the latest edition of the internationally recognised standard for implementing an effective OH&S management system. The standard provides a framework for utilising the system – from risk assessment and reporting to training and employee engagement – resulting in safe working environments.

It is designed for all types and sizes of organisations – from SMEs and corporates to non-profits and charities – regardless of industry sector or activities.

The standard supports organisational efforts to eliminate workplace hazards and comply with health and safety regulations such as the HASAWA 1974. 1. Introduction
   Understand the origins and definition of the standard, including recent changes and its key remit.
2. Benefits
   Discover the organisational benefits of ISO 45001 to enable them to be communicated to key stakeholders, including reduced costs through workplace injury and increased reputational standing with customers.
3. Implementation
   Learn the key stages and requirements for implementing ISO 45001:2018 to support the creation of an ISO 45001 requirements checklist:
   • Defining organisational goals – how to ensure ISO 45001 supports wider organisational goals, such as reducing costs.
   • Risk assessments – learn the requirements for effective risk assessment and threat identification, and their impact on health and safety.
   • ISO 45001 processes – discover how processes work with each other to manage health & safety, such as employee roles.
   • Plan Do Check Act – learn about how the Plan Do Check Act cycle is used to manage and improve OH&S effectiveness.

Our ISO 45001 training is delivered online, and you can learn at your own pace. Courses can be accessed using a web browser over broadband on laptop and desktop PCs and mobile devices such as tablets. You can save your progress, and organisation-wide training can be recorded as part of ISO audits.
