If you’re using your ISO certification to promote your business – on your website, in emails, within brochures or on packaging – it’s important to follow a few key rules.
These rules help to make sure you’re promoting your certification(s) in the correct way and avoid any misunderstandings.
✔️ What You Can Say or Do
You are certified, not accredited
Your organisation is certified to an ISO standard by an accredited certification body. Only certification bodies like Amtivo are accredited.
When referencing Amtivo alongside your certification badge
You can say:
“<COMPANY NAME> is ISO <STANDARD>-certified by Amtivo, an INAB-accredited certification body.”
When referencing Amtivo without a certification badge
You can say:
“<COMPANY NAME> is ISO <STANDARD>-certified by Amtivo, an INAB-accredited certification body.”
Include a link to our website
We strongly recommend linking to amtivo.com/ie. This helps your clients learn more about certification and the benefits it brings to your business and theirs.
❌ What You Shouldn’t Say or Do
Do not say you’re approved or endorsed by Amtivo or INAB
Your certification does not mean you are approved or endorsed by Amtivo or the INAB accreditation body.
Do not use certification to endorse products
ISO certification is about your management systems, not your products. Avoid using certification marks or wording on packaging in a way that could suggest the product itself is endorsed or certified.
Do not be misleading about the scope of your certification
Make sure it’s clear what parts of your business are certified. Do not suggest that services, locations or standards outside the certified scope are included.
