What is ISO 50001:2018?

This ISO is the most up-to-date international standard for energy management.

What industries implement ISO 50001?

ISO 50001 is suitable for all types and sizes of organisations – from SMEs to government organisations and international corporations.

The internationally recognised standard is used by many industry sectors, with a focus on high-energy organisations such as manufacturing, transport, food & beverages, technology and construction.

How long does ISO 50001 certification last?

This ISO certification lasts for a three-year cycle and is subject to mandatory assessments every year to ensure compliance.

At the end of the three years, the organisation will be required to complete a re-certification assessment to continue certification for an additional three-year cycle.

Can ISO 50001 be implemented with other standards?

Absolutely! ISO 50001:2018 has been created under the Annex SL structure. This structure has been designed to share the same features across multiple standards for documentation, policies, procedures and processes.

How do I implement ISO 50001?
