On April 1st, 2025, the Global Wind Organization (GWO) announced Version 15 (V15) of its Requirements for Training, a significant update for all GWO—certified training providers, certified clients and businesses preparing for GWO audits.

Key Dates for GWO Version 15
The GWO Requirements for Training V15 introduces several updates to the certification framework. Here are the essential dates to note:
- Release date: April 1st, 2025
- Mandatory adoption date: October 1st, 2025
- Transition period: Both Version 14 and Version 15 are valid until October 1st, 2025
After this date, only Version 15 will be recognised for audits and certification.
GWO Audit Report Templates for V14 and V15
To support the transition, please find details of the two audit templates below, each corresponding to the appropriate version of the training requirements:

Be sure to use the correct template based on which version your audit is referencing.
What Should Your Organization do?
To maintain certification, GWO—certified training providers should:
- Review the new Version 15 Requirements for Training
- Update internal documentation, training delivery, and processes accordingly
- Complete the transition to Version 15 before October 1st, 2025
From October 1st, 2025, only audits based on Version 15 will be valid.
