Caroline Plumb

Caroline Plumb OBE is the Chief Executive Officer of Amtivo Group, a global leader in certification for ambitious businesses, delivering ISO certification, training, and technology-enabled compliance services worldwide.

A serial entrepreneur with a demonstrable track record of building and scaling businesses, Caroline co-founded and led FreshMinds, growing the knowledge and talent consultancy into a nationally recognised brand over more than a decade, before co-founding Fluidly, an AI-powered cash flow forecasting platform that transformed financial planning for SMEs. She has also served as CEO of PE-backed Gravita, where she quadrupled the business through six acquisitions in three years, and as a non-executive director of AIM-listed Mercia Technologies.

Having started out as a software engineer, Caroline brings a longstanding passion for technology to everything she leads, with particular interest in the applications of AI and automation in business services and platform transformations that drive gross margin. She has deep expertise in the SME segment, spanning go-to-market and channel strategy, and significant M&A experience from origination through to post-merger integration, on both buy and sell sides.

At Amtivo, Caroline leads with a clear conviction: that certification and compliance, done well, are not administrative burdens but genuine competitive advantages, delivering trust in people, processes, systems, and supply chains for organisations of every size.

Caroline is an experienced public speaker and press commentator on entrepreneurialism, leadership, women in business, and innovation, and writes a monthly column for The Times. In 2010 she was appointed by the Prime Minister as a UK Business Ambassador for the Professional and Business Services sectors. She was awarded an OBE for services to entrepreneurship in the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours in 2016, named in the UK Tech 100 in 2019, and in 2024 was elected an Honorary Fellow of St John's College, Oxford.
