Gareth Parker is Head of Operational Compliance at Amtivo. With a background spanning engineering, testing and certification, he brings extensive technical and regulatory expertise to the governance and delivery of certification schemes. Gareth holds Lead Auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 45001, and has developed specialist expertise in emerging standards, including ISO/IEC 42001 for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems.
Gareth has over 15 years’ experience working across technical and leadership roles in the testing, inspection and certification sector. His experience includes electrical product certification, electromagnetic compatibility testing, fire detection and life safety systems, and hazardous environments. He has also supported international operations, including helping establish testing laboratories in Canada. At Amtivo, Gareth works closely with scheme managers and governance teams to ensure certification programmes are implemented effectively and remain aligned with regulatory and industry requirements.
Outside of work, Gareth is actively involved in his local community. He coaches youth football in Wrexham, UK and serves as treasurer for the North West Area of Round Table (UK), supporting charitable initiatives including projects with Nightingale House Hospice.
