Reasons to Attend Our ISO 9001:2026 Transition Course

The ISO 9001:2026 Transition Course is a one-day training course that will cover the revised requirements and areas organisations may need to review against the updated ISO 9001:2026 standard.

The updated standard is expected to be published in September 2026, along with a transition timeframe in which to have your management system audited to the new requirements.

Beyond the fundamentals of the standard, the course provides practical examples to support understanding of the new requirements (including how transition audits will assess them) and a framework for assessing the impact of the revised requirements on your management system.

Why Is ISO 9001:2026 Changing?

ISO 9001 is being revised to reflect how quality management has evolved since 2015 – shaped by digitalisation, shifting stakeholder expectations, and a growing recognition that quality outcomes depend on organisational culture, not just documented processes.

The 2026 revision is evolutionary rather than revolutionary, but the changes matter. They strengthen requirements around quality culture and ethical behaviour, leadership accountability, risk management, and the consideration of climate change within organisational context – ensuring Quality Management Systems (QMS) remain credible, effective, and aligned with the way modern organisations operate.

ISO 9001:2026 Transition Course Content

The course content aims to help learners by covering key aspects of the transition, including:

  • The changes in ISO 9001:2026 FDIS – what’s new, what’s revised, and what stays the same.
  • Quality culture and ethical behaviour
  • The new separation of risks and opportunities, and how to plan and record both.
  • Human factors and the work environment, including preventing human error in day-to-day operations.
  • The new Annex A guidance and how to use it to make your transition easier.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Interpret the new and revised requirements and understand their practical implications for a QMS.
  • Identify areas that may require review or updating to support the transition to ISO 9001:2026.
  • Understand strengthened expectations around quality culture and ethical behaviour, and how leadership is expected to promote and embed these within the QMS.
  • Apply the clearer separation of risks and opportunities, including how climate change and other contextual issues are considered within the management system.
  • Incorporate enhanced monitoring, measurement, and human factors considerations (including work environment and error reduction) to better demonstrate quality performance and effectiveness.

Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at employees and contractors leading the transition to ISO 9001:2026. Although suitable for all levels within an organisation, it is most relevant to project managers and department heads responsible for understanding the changes required for the updated standard.

How The ISO 9001 Transition Training Is Delivered
