What Is Cyber Security?

Cyber security helps protect your organisation’s network, devices and data from illegal access and prevents damage and loss caused by hackers and cyber criminals.

Safeguarding your business from attack involves training employees on the ways criminals access networks and devices. It includes putting in place protection such as firewalls, authentication processes, network monitoring and security procedures to reduce the risk of theft or damage.

Why Take a Cyber Security Course?

Cyber security training helps protect an organisation’s reputation, assets, data and devices from criminal activity. Nearly half of all UK businesses experience a cyber security breach or attack each year, according to the government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2020. Cyber security training can also help prevent losses from cyber crime. According to government statistics, UK businesses lose an average of £5,220 each year due to cyber crime.

Actively managed cyber security supports compliance with the GDPR and data protection legislation, reducing the risk of hefty fines as a result of data theft or a data breach.

Our Cyber Security course helps train employees in the ways hackers can attack your organisation, spot the warning signs of a hacking attempt, and learn what to do to prevent cyber crime.

Who Should Take a Cyber Security Course?

Our cyber security training is aimed at employees of all levels, including business owners, directors, managers, supervisors, staff and contractors looking to improve cyber security awareness across an organisation.

No previous or specialist knowledge is needed for our cyber security course, and our learning platform includes helpful guidance and advice to support your learning.
