ISO 9001 unlocks opportunities for Network Training Partnership.
Recruitment and training supplier Network Training Partnership (NTP) was ready to begin the next stage of its journey by bidding for government contracts and securing even more new business. To do that, the team recognised that they would need UKAS-accredited ISO 9001 certification.
Find out how ISO 9001 was instrumental to NTP’s plans for the future.
Network Training Partnership (NTP) provides integrated recruitment and training for the automotive, logistics, and emergency services sectors. The business had seen great success since it was formed but, for the next stage of its journey, it needed to stand out from the competition with ISO certification that would demonstrate its commitment to quality.
The NTP team was also keen to bid for government contracts, which meant that any certification they possessed would need to be accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). This is how achieving UKAS-accredited ISO 9001 certification became a vital step to ensuring NTP’s future success.
NTP delivers national and international training through a network of training centres and a national academy in Essex, all independently approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT), the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), and QualSAFE. As a winner of a 2019 Soldiering On Award, Gary Tucker, NTP’s MD, is keen to support the veteran community. All of the business’ instructors are ex-military, and NTP also provides free training and access to jobs to veterans.
Working closely with its customers, NTP puts together bespoke training on topics from mental health to training for the emergency services. This includes the production of learning Management Systems and online innovative training courses. Ultimately, NTP’s primary goal is to be the go-to place for industry training, whether for an individual seeking industry training or a company looking for training delivery and recruitment.
Aside from being a requirement for government tenders, Gary knew how important accreditation was going to be for their ISO certification. As such, they approached only the ISO certification providers that were UKAS-accredited.
“It is important to have the ISO accredited by UKAS as there are varying levels of the standard that I honestly believe don’t meet the same standard. “British Assessment Bureau offered the complete package for us, from the UKAS accreditation to the BAB Activ system that enabled us to record all of the relevant information. Additionally, the cost was very competitive compared to a lot of other quotes we received.” Gary Tucker, Network Training Partnership
While the COVID-19 pandemic created new challenges for companies in all sectors, NTP has already used its new ISO 9001 certification to help it to secure new business.
The NTP team had been working on a long-term contract with a highly-respected international company. Although the certification wasn’t required, ISO 9001 helped NTP to stand out from the competition, and it was added to the Preferred Suppliers list immediately!
“As a small training company with huge ambition, it was always an aspiration to further assure our customers of the quality we provide by achieving UKAS-accredited ISO 9001 certification.
“I would have no hesitation in recommending British Assessment Bureau to anyone that is thinking of adopting the standard within their organisation or company.” Gary Tucker
NTP are now looking forward to achieving further ISO certification to help them further stand out from the competition and help them win more business!
