What Is Data Protection?
Robust, secure data handling is a fundamental requirement of modern business, and organisations have a legal obligation under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to accurately and fairly collect, store and process personal data.
Organisations need to put in place policies, processes and procedures for handling and processing data. A key component in a robust information security system is training employees on how to correctly process data, how to identify potential data breaches and what to do in the event of a data breach.
Why Take Data Protection Training?
Businesses with a high standard of data protection in place protect sensitive information, prevent reputational harm caused by data breaches, ensure legal compliance, and avoid the risk of large fines and penalties.
Data protection training ensures employees understand the different types of data, the different data roles within an organisation, and individual’s rights to be informed and to access their data.
Our training supports employees who collect, process or store data as part of their key responsibilities in understanding the importance of robust data protection for their organisation.
Who Should Take Data Protection Training?
Our data security training is aimed at employees of all levels, including business owners, directors, managers, supervisors, staff and contractors looking to improve data protection awareness and compliance.
No previous or specialist knowledge is needed for our data protection course, and our learning platform includes helpful guidance and advice to support your learning.
