British Assessment Bureau aims to provide trusted, independent certification through an ethical, impartial audit process. Our goal is to help UK organisations demonstrate good governance, manage risk effectively, improve operational effectiveness, and build confidence with customers, partners, and regulators.

Why Accredited Certification Bodies Matter

An accredited certification body gives independent assurance that your management system meets a standard, based on objective evidence and competent auditing. We draw a clear line: we certify, we don’t consult. Consultants can help build systems, but independent certification must come from a separate, impartial body.

Impartiality is what makes certification credible. It helps customers, regulators, and procurement teams trust that an ISO certificate reflects real performance over time. That trust is protected by accreditation, governance, and independence. As a UKAS-accredited certification body, we’re regularly audited too, and held to strict requirements for consistency and impartiality.

Note: British Assessment Bureau, part of Amtivo Group, holds UKAS accreditation. Amtivo in the UK  (Amtivo Health & Safety Limited) holds IOSH-Approved Training Provider status, approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.

UKAS accreditation provides independent assurance that British Assessment Bureau operates with the governance and competence required of an accredited certification body.

Our certificates carry the UKAS Crown & Tick mark, signalling that our certification has been delivered under the UK’s Government‑endorsed accreditation framework.

IOSH Approved Training Provider 

Amtivo is an IOSH Approved Training Provider; we are approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the world’s leading professional body for health and safety, to deliver its internationally recognised courses, including IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely.  

Impartiality policy

We recognise the critical role of impartiality in conducting our management system certification activities.

We implement clear processes to safeguard impartiality and manage potential conflicts of interest. Auditor assignments are made to ensure independence and objective, evidence-based findings.
